Another quickie. ^^ Looks a bit rough though...
Heavy Weapon Team
Role - Heavy Fire Support
Crew - 3 Personel
Armament - T1301 Type IV Grenade Link, Standard Infantry Issue P-45G Gauss Rifle
During the 7 Day War, most tanks and armored vehicles were destroyed in the fierce but inbalanced fight. Conventional armor were proven ineffective against the revolutionized tech troops of the superpowers. As battles continue the Rebel was forced to find a new medium to take over the roles of traditional tanks with its limited funding and resource.
The solution is the heavy weapon team, also called "gun crews" or "weapon team" is a 3 man squad consisting of a gunner with the T1301 Type IV Grenade Link, a spotter with field battle scope and a supporter that carries and manages ammo supplies in combat.
This is probably the Rebel's best bet against heavy enemy forces or armor. The grenade link is lethal against masses of soft targets in its effective area while capable of dealing considerable damage to armored targets.
Within the field the slow moving gun crews will need to setup the weapon before use, thus they are most vulnerable when on the move and often requires support. As the crews themselves are completely exposed and being vulnerable to fire, they are best used as support units or to hide and ambush enemies behind cover.
T1301 Type IV Grenade Link
Basically a traditional tank gun minimized in size and weight (as well as the ammunition) to allow personel to operate in field. It is a low cost, simple but effective weapon that launches volleys of high explosive grenades with high fire rate. The many drawback of this weapon however includes lack of maneuverability and accuracy as it's too light to reduce recoil but too heavy to be used without setup first.
This allows the grenade link to function as a light artillery unit, launching high speed guided mini missiles to enemies afar.
AT Rail Cannon
The modification enables T1301 to fire rail cannon rounds that are deadly to heavy armor or buildings.
P-45G Gauss Rifle
This is simply a down grade of a gauss link cannon used by first generation walkers, but also greatly reduced in weight and size to allow infantry use. The long effort of research has greatly improved its capability and performance over time which now it's much more powerful but stable than before. The rifle basically supercharges a thin nail spike with magnetic energy to greatly increase its speed and penetration power. This is proven highly effective to any of Confederate infantry armor, and even their war machines cannot last too long under its constant fire.
The downside is its low rate of fire and high recoil, resulting in low accuracy. Soldiers will require experience and skill to hit their targets effectively.
The charger system enables a second fire mode for the gauss rifle, in which it charges up energy in one concerntrate shot. Effective for heavy armor or long range combat.
With this mod the rifle can store up additional energy and ammunication.
